چکیده
BackgroundAfter suffering from a stroke, serious long-term disability occurs and physiotherapy is one part of rehabilitation for stroke survivors that plays significant role in improving functional recovery, mobility has positive impact on outcome.ObjectiveTo identify functioning outcomes after rehabilitation.MethodologyBy using both retrospective cross-sectional study designs, 71 cases were identified, Modified Barthel Index (MBI) was applied to score outcomes. Data managed analyzed IBM SPSS Statistics Windows version 21.0 (IBM Corp, Armonk, NY, USA).ResultsThe findings showed patients who received improved activities daily living (ADL). This demonstrated by changes the total MBI 0.72 ± 1.59 admission 15.3 ±4.89 current status (after rehabilitation). However, some failed achieve expected even though they rehabilitation. could be attributed delayed onset, frequency duration rehabilitation.ConclusionStroke improvement living. Hypertension been identified as most influencing risk factor stroke. Financial constraints also those struggle highest due poor attendance at Appropriate management hypertension necessary reduce stroke; facilitation under will improve their participation better outcome.Rwanda J Med Health Sci 2023;6(2):191-198
